Fort Worth Prairie Fest has been honored by the Fort Worth Weekly as Best Outdoor Cultural Event of 2010. We are humbled and grateful. Woo-hoo!!!

Outdoor Cultural Event
Readers’ choice: Main Street Arts Festival
Critic’s choice: Fort Worth Prairie Fest
For the fifth year in a row, culture met nature at a family-friendly day in the wildflower-decorated acres of the Tandy Hills Natural Area. Prairie Fest again hosted a collection of eco-minded vendors peddling goods and services to help folks live a more earth-friendly life, but there was also plenty of live music (including headliners Brave Combo), painting, sculpture, dance, and theatrical diversions by stage companies like Hip Pocket Theatre and Amphibian Productions.
Prairie Fest 6 is April 23. Save the Date!

KXT 91.7 radio host, Paul Slavens, is the Prairie Fest emcee for 2011
Paul's diverse musical show, airing Sunday evenings from 8 - 10 pm is the most interesting and eclectic on local radio. Prairie Fest is honored to have Paul and his golden voice on our stage. Read his profile HERE.
April 24, 2010 was an enjoyable date for all.
If you missed Prairie Fest 5, you can watch a KERA video snapshot here. The sights and sounds of Prairie Fest 5 were joyful and positive. Thousands of people attended, many of them discovering Tandy Hills for the first time. The wildflower show did not disappoint. Our green exhibitors offered us practical tools to live lighter on planet Earth and our solar-powered stage demonstrated that the future of clean energy is now. Non-profit exhibitors supplied us with the political and faith-based directions for our energies. The children and performers reminded us to be joyful and to savor the moment. Together, we demonstrated the importance of preserving and protecting this and all remaining greenspace in north Texas.
Prairie Fest 5 is now history but don't let that keep you from celebrating your connection to the natural world at Tandy Hills Natural Area (today would be good.) New species are blooming every few days. There are 160 amazing acres to roam. Come on in and find your path.
