Brush Bash 2015 Report: A prairie hill liberated
The 7th annual Brush Bash was one for the record book. Two acres of Tandy Hills prairie were liberated from privet and other invasive woody species. Best news of all, the City has committed to 3 more Brush Bashes in 2015.

There was no power blackout and no delay of game at the, one-day-a-year Brush Bash at Tandy Hills Natural Area on February 2, 2013. But like that other big game last weekend ours game was one for the record book.

It took me a week to recover from Brush Bash 2012, but it hurt so good. How 'bout you?
The Bash was another gigantic success! About 50 volunteers and 20 community service workers got the job done. According to Dale Taylor of the City of Fort Worth, 23 big trucks full of brush (326 yards) were hauled to the composting/mulching facility.
