Here’s what Friends of Tandy Hills have done in 2022 (so far) to earn your financial support:
- Hosted 13th annual Manly Men Wild Women New Years Day Hike,
- Co-hosted the 7th Annual PrairieSky / StarParty
- 12 issues of Prairie Notes documenting Tandy Hills
- 13th annual Trout Lily Walk w/Sam Kieschnick
- Hosted several Prairie Posse workdays
- Two miles of new and re-routed trails system nearing completion
- Improved signage & updated regulations to help deter vandalism
- Hired crews removed invasive species in key, remote locations
- Achieved long-sought success in reclaiming key waterhole
- Reported 850 volunteer hours to FW Park & Rec in 2022 (so far)
- Reported 96 new species in 2022 (as of, 9/22/22)
- Unveiled all-new website in 2022
Our shared piece of land known as Tandy Hills has become even more valuable and more vital since FOTHNA was founded in 2004. People from all over North Texas keep discovering our urban refuge as an escape from the madness of the world, to study nature up close, or simply recreate.
Your support is VITAL. We stretch every donated dollar for the betterment of Tandy Hills and the citizens of north Texas.
